Position: Trainee Teacher – Communication Skills
We conduct communication skills classes for student ages 7 to 18 years, mainly focusing on preparing them for the Trinity College London Communication Skills exams which assess students in the following areas:
⚪ Verbal and non-verbal communication
⚫ Conversation and discussion
⚪ Critical thinking and problem-solving
⚫ Research and reflection
⚫ Persuasion and negotiation
⚪ Planning and preparation
⚫ Usage of equipment and materials to aid communication
Our programmes also focus on developing a range of other skills that are highly valued by schools and future employers, skills such as self-motivation, ability to learn and adjust, working to deadlines, teamwork and flexibility.

Role & Responsibilities
⚪ Support the classroom teacher in any manner as delegated by the principal or senior teacher.
⚫ Support the classroom teacher to deliver lessons effectively and enthusiastically.
⚪ Work closely with students during class activities.
⚫ Enforce classroom management procedures adopted by the classroom teacher.
⚪ Prepare the classroom for a conducive learning environment.
⚫ Ensure the safety of students at all times.
⚪ Always be respectful and professional towards staff and teachers.
⚫ Build rapport with students and parents to build trust and confidence.
⚪ Be present at least 10 minutes prior to the start of classes.
⚫ Assist in cleaning the classroom after each lesson.
⚪ Report to principal or senior teachers.
Trainee teachers who show potential will be promoted to teaching positions with higher remuneration after the probationary period and given more opportunities to teach. Those not meeting expectations will not continue after the probationary period. Probation period may vary depending on performance.
